League of Legends Winter Group Stage week 1 recap
Week 1 saw a lot of action and before we head into week 2 tonight we look back at all the action that happened.

In the first match of the evening Asterion took on Uncharted Gaming. In a very back and forth game it was Uncharted Gaming who had the most kills for the entire game, but Asterion with a gold lead. In the end, the strong teamfights from Asterion proved to be enough to get them their first win of the group stage.

Reigning champions Lachende Gerdas played versus Team GameGear in the second game of the evening. Having won the Summer Championship they were the clear favourites going in to the match and they showed why. In a very bloody game, 41 kills as the nexus fell, they still grabbed the win before the 24 minute mark.

Next up was ECVisualize versus mCon eSports, which would prove to be the most one-sided match of the evening. mCon was able to out rotate and outplay ECV at every turn, grabbing a 12-0 kill difference and an 8k gold lead at just 15 minutes. After 24 minutes the Nexus from ECV fell, netting mCon their win.

The fourth game of the evening wasn't played as Team Paria didn't field a team, meaning Sector One got the win.

This gives us the standings after week 1:
