Team Kinguin represent the dream of every Counter-Strike player. As one of the well-established but lesser known teams in Europe, they have made their way from amateurs through the Mountain Dew League into the highest class of competition - the ESL Pro League. It was the Mountain Dew League that brought their talent to life for the first time, as the team steadily improved and managed to make a name for themselves. In dominating fashion the Poles won Mountain Dew League Season 23 over teams like Godsent, Epsilon and Rogue to qualify for their first season of ESL Pro League.
Team Kinguin started surprisingly well into season 5 of the ESL Pro League. A win over FaZe Clan and a tie with their countrymen and Polish superstars, Virtus.pro, had the team in the top ranks for the first two weeks. However, some incredibly close losses have thrown them down the standings to 14th position where they now have to fight against relegation.
As the only European team, Team Kinguin have three remaining matches this season that will decide about their future. Three matches spread across the last three play days. Fnatic, Heroic and Team LDLC await them. Three double-headers out of which they need at least three map wins to close the gap to Virtus.pro who are in second to last position. Will the Mountain Dew League successor remain their spot or will we see them fall this week?
All of the matches will be streamed live on our YouTube channel so be sure not to miss any of them and see whether Team Kinguin will survive in the ESL Pro League! Full schedule can be found here.
