The ESL Pro League is about to kick-off in less than four days and last night Valve announced the replacement of Dust2 with Inferno in the active duty mappool of the game with immediate effect. To keep a standardized and unified mappool, we have always been following the active duty mappool for our League. This time we will do the same, but with a small delay.
As the League is about to kick-off on Tuesday, we discussed the mappool with the WESA Players Council and agreed to keep Dust2 in the mapool for the first week of competition. This way, teams and players are given more time to practice Inferno before it is being used in official play.
Starting with week 2 of the League on February 21st, Dust2 will be replaced with Inferno in the mappool for the remainder of the season.
Let the games begin!
