We’re rapidly approaching the finals of the ESL Pro League CS:GO Season 7 in the APAC region, now that the Season and Closed Qualifiers have drawn to a close. Eight teams have qualified from the three major regions (Australia/New Zealand, China and Southeast Asia) and are now headed to the finals in the ESL Australia Studios in Sydney, April 20-22.
Check out which teams came out ahead!
Australia/New Zealand
Three finals slots were up for grabs in the ANZ region and two teams managed to secure their trip to Sydney without losing a single map: ORDER and Greyhound. They performed flawlessly in the upper bracket, with Greyhounds sending Tainted Minds into the lower bracket, who would ended up securing the third and final qualifier spot after a thrilling series versus Chiefs ESC.
Qualified Teams: ORDER, Greyhound, Tainted Minds
China
The Mongolz reigned supreme in the Chinese Qualifiers, not suffering a single setback in the upper bracket to secure their spot in the finals. Joining them are MVP PK who survived a narrow series against Eclipse to start the tournament, followed by a strong 2-0 against Flash Gaming. The latter would end up taking the third and final slot after eliminating Eclipse 2-0 on Cobble and Mirage.
Qualified Teams: The Mongolz, MVP PK, Flash Gaming
Southeast Asia
The final two spots to round out the APAC finals were determined in the SEA season, where only one team would qualify from the upper bracket, unlike the other two regions. None other than Signature Gaming ended up winning the upper bracket after a hard fought Bo3 against B.O.O.T-dreamScape, which included an exciting overtime round on Cache. But even though B.O.O.T-dreamScape suffered defeat in the upper bracket finals, they ended up rallying in the Lower Bracket finals to defeat Recca Esports.
Qualified Teams: Signature Gaming, B.O.O.T-dreamScape
