For the second time in a row, PENTA Sports took the the Rainbow Six Pro League trophy. This time the European squad made it in Cologne, Germany, during gamescom 2017.
PENTA’s first opponent at the Season 2 finals was eXcellence. Firstly, players found themselves on Border, where it was all about the EU representatives. They took all 5 rounds and made it 1-0. On the second map of Oregon PENTA gave a great performance again to take the map 5-2 and the series 2-0.
With a 2-0 victory over eXcellence PENTA moved on to the semis, where they faced Team FONTT. This one wasn’t as one-sided as PENTA’s quarter. OTs were needed on both Border and Oregon to determine the better team and both went in favor of PENTA. Pengu & co. won 6-4 twice and advanced to the grand final.
In the grand final, we saw an EU vs. NA battle as PENTA Sports were going up against Elevate. For the third time in a row PENTA took the series without dropping a single map. They kicked the series off with a 5-1 win on Club House and then made it 5-3 on Consulate!
This is the third time PENTA Sports took the Rainbow Six Pro League trophy. They have made it once last year and already won twice in 2017. Can they keep it up and win one more this year?
