16 teams has never looked so good! We're kicking off 2021 with more players, more matches and more content. Each week these teams will battle it out as they fight for their spot in the Playoffs. We'll be putting more emphasis on their journey, placing a spotlight on the new faces and exciting personalities that ANZ has to offer.

FORMAT

Open Qualifiers:  2x qualifiers will provide the Top 12 teams a slot into the swiss stage.

Swiss Stage: A total of 16 teams (4 Invited + 12 Qualified) will compete in a swiss bracket over 5 weeks. 

Double Elimination: The top 8 players from Swiss will compete to advance to the playoffs stage

Playoffs: The top 4 teams will compete for prize money, global pathways and to be crowned the ANZ Champ!

First place from ANZ Champs CS:GO earns themselves a slot at the 'National Championship Global Playoffs'. First place at the NC G. Playoffs will earn a slot into the play-in stage of IEM Katowice or ESL One Cologne. Second place at the NC G. Playoffs will earn a slot at an Intel Extreme Masters or DreamHack Masters event. ANZ Champs is the premier esports tournament in which players of Australian & New Zealand compete against each other for fame, prize money and international opportunities into the ESL Pro Tour. 

Players wanting to compete in the ANZ Champs can do so via the Open Qualifiers that are run during the start of each season. A signup button can be found on the landing page of each game title.

Yes. All players must be 16 years of age at the start of the competition.

No. ANZ Champs is only open to residents residing in Australia & New Zealand.

Players that currently reside overseas will not be ineligible to compete.

The four (4) invited teams are determined by recent results in competitions across the ANZ Region with considerations made for international events and past performances.
