- Mousesports, Cloud 9 and Fnatic each qualified through the European qualifier.
- Evil Geniuses qualified through the American qualifier.
- Invictus Gaming qualified through the Chinese qualifier.
- Vici Gaming was knocked out of the Chinese qualifier but had a second chance in the Asian qualifier and secured their position through it.
- Each qualifier was split up into two or more stages. The first stage included a big open bracket in which any team that wanted could attend. The second stage contained invited professional teams and the best teams from the firs stage. The strongest teams from the second stage qualified for ESL One Frankfurt.
