One of the new things at ESL One Frankfurt this year is the dedicated qualifier slot for the SEA region, ensuring that one team from South East Asia will travel to Germany in June in order to compete among the world's best Dota 2 teams.

SEA open qualifier

Up to 512 teams from the region can sign up to the open qualifier, which will take place from March the 2nd to the 3rd starting at 18:00 SGT (12:00 CET). After the two days of single elimination play, the last four remaining teams will proceed to the main qualifier, where they will face off against eight teams who were directly invited to the main qualifier based on their past performances and tournament results.

SEA main qualifier

Throughout March and April, twelve teams, four from the open qualifiers and eight via direct invites, will battle it out for the chance to represent the SEA region at ESL One Frankfurt 2015. The main qualifier bracket plays out in a best of three single elimination format, with the finals being a full best of five series. The entire main qualifier will also be broadcast by our partners over at joinDOTA.
