It is the most important match of the season! OpTic Gaming (7) and Counter Logic Gaming (8) will face each other on Tuesday at 5pm PDT in the ESL Pro League Season 5. With both teams tied at a 13-9 record in the league right now, this one match can decide who will make it to the season finals in Dallas, Texas, starting May 30. It will be a head to head matchup that makes or breaks dreams.
\nWhilst OpTic Gaming had a rather turbulent start to the season with quite a few roster changes and temporary stand-ins CLG remained the core of their line-up and performed extremely well at the latest Starladder event to the surprise of many experts. Despite a win over Liquid and ties with Luminosity Gaming and Cloud9 CLG will need a 2-0 series over OpTic Gaming to stay in a comfortable position for the playoffs as their final match puts them against first seed SK Gaming.
\nOpTic Gaming on the other hand can be confident, if they tie their match with CLG. On the last play day OpTic will compete with compLexity Gaming for the last few points in Season 5 and experts would see OpTic as clear favorites going into this match. Nonetheless, they first of all need to deliver against a highly motivated Counter Logic Gaming who want to attend the finals after missing them last season. Direct competitors Misfits will have a close eye on the results as they hope to make their way to the finals as well.
