Six Major Paris qualifiers begin June 22

The Six Major Paris is coming close! Who will be the six teams to earn a spot for the first edition through the qualifiers?

Halfway through the six-month long Season 8, sixteen of the best teams across four different regions (Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia-Pacific) will meet in France to compete in the biggest Rainbow Six competition held in Europe to date, complete with a total prize pool of $350,000! The  Six Major’s Qualifiers will also give a chance to amateur teams to prove themselves against pro teams and qualify to the LAN event. Here’s all the information you need to get involved in the upcoming Open Qualifiers.

Qualifiers format

Europe, North America and Latin America

Stage 1 (June 22 - July 2):  An unlimited number of teams can sign-up to the first stage of the Qualifiers. The participants will battle it out against each other in a ladder, through a matchmaking system that automatically selects your opponents. Each match in the ladder will be a Bo2 game. If there are more than 64 teams signing up per region, 16 teams will qualify for the closed tournament. If there are less than 64 teams signing up per region, 8 teams will qualify for the closed tournament (see step 2 below).

Stage 2 (July 2 - July 6):  This stage will feature the top 16 teams, made up of teams from the Pro League, Challenger League, and top teams from Stage 1. They will play in a double elimination, best-of-3 format.
