Introduction to the R6USN Finalists: Elephant Gang

As the Vegas finals fast approach, it’s an ideal time to explore the teams that will be taking to the stage. This time, Elephant Gang take the stage!

First of all, let’s talk a walk through the roster:

Avian – Avian has been around the competitive scene for a few years. Getting his start in Most Wanted eSports. Much like his teammate Supr, he spent some time at Rogue before joining Elephant Gang in June.

Kanine – An old name in the Rainbow Six pro scene, Kanine has been involved since the word go as a member of Team Orbit back on 2016. He would spend some time at eRa Eternity where he would cross paths with current teammate Supr, and much like Avian, joined Elephant Gang in June.

Neptunez – Neptunez has been competing in Rainbow Six since the day of release. He had been playing some other titles competitively for around two years but he found true success with Siege. He started out in the Xbox One, and like many others, made the transition to PC when the console Pro-League was fazed out.

Trippen – Starting out at release with plenty of casual play, Trippen dropped into the first Challenger League. He then qualified for the Pro-League with the team that would later become Spacestation Gaming, but didn’t find much satisfaction as a bench player so leapt on the opportunity to join Elephant gang when Supr approached him.

Supr – Supr was a member of Rogue where he found great success, placing second at Dreamhack and second in North America. He recently left Rogue and joined Elephant Gang, a team he founded earlier this year.

So that’s the team, but we can still get to know them better! I spoke to Elephant Gang to find out more:

How, if at all, has the USN differed from the Pro and Challenger League?

“For us the competition in USN is much more of a chaotic playstyle because a lot of the players we have faced are not in Pro League or organized leagues and thus bring a lot of ranked elements to the game that can both work against and in their favor. Also, it has given an opportunity and a platform to US teams that normally wouldn’t get this chance.”

What’s the team’s proudest moment of the USN so far?

“We’re not proud of how we qualified, BUT I hope to be proud of our end result at the USN.”

Which team from the Western Conference are the team most looking forward to playing at Vegas?

“We’re most looking forward to playing Cloud 9, as not only are they undefeated in BO3 matches, but some ex-teammates are in their roster and it will be great to play against them!”

Huge thanks to Elephant Gang for their answers! They have to potential to give the other teams a good run for their money! If you want to watch that play out live, come along on December 15th and 16th at the Rio Hotel’s Penn and Teller Theatre in Las Vegas by picking up your tickets at
