ESL Pro Tour

The ESL Pro Tour for Warcraft III is set to start July 22nd with qualifiers as we head towards the WC3 Championship for 2021. After listening to feedback from the community, players, and fans we've decided to make some changes to the EPT since our last communication on 13/5.

We've been closely investigating conditions regarding our planned season finals. Our evaluation concluded that despite the intention behind them, we are unable to maintain optimal conditions for a competitive environment and therefore have decided to remove global online competition. Our competitions will remain regional until the Championship in Katowice of 2021. We are going to be reallocating the $30,000 in prize money to the Championship event, which is now:

Asian Division

We’ve increased the size of the division from 8 to 16 and have added open qualification. For the first season of the ESL Pro Tour, we will be inviting the top 4 from the ongoing WGL competition which concludes on July 19th.

European Division

Invited players to Season 1 are Happy, Foggy, Thorzain & Hawk. Invites are through the EPT ranking.

American Division

Hitman is the only invited player directly into the first season. Both n3m0n1c & Ark are tied on EPT points from DH Anaheim and will be required to play a tie-breaker for the final invitation, more information coming soon.

Following seasons will be invited based on the result of the previous season.

The winning players of Season 1 from the French & Spanish ESL National Championships will be invited to the closed qualifier of EPT Season 1.

The winning players of Season 1 and Season 2 from the Australian ESL National Championship will be invited to the closed qualifier for EPT Season 1.
