The EPT will continue to deliver high quality, intense, and thrilling DOTA 2 events, featuring the best teams from around the globe in events all around the globe.
The ESL Pro Tour DOTA 2 has a total of three DreamLeague events, each with a different format to the last, and an ESL One event together with Division 2 between the events.
With open qualifiers being the starting point for everyone and culminating in the very best teams with top class dota entertainment at our main events!
Throughout the entire season, teams will fight for their share of EPT Points and only the top teams in the world will be able to compete at the Esports World Cup.
ESL One brings the hype around the world as the designated LAN event experience for DOTA 2 fans.
DreamLeague is a premier online tournament series with a compact, high intensity format that provides entertainment for everyone at home.
DreamLeague Division 2 is a new Tier 2 tournament series, giving teams a chance to qualify directly to DreamLeague and taking them one step closer to the Esports World Cup.
*N.B. These documents are applicable to all ESL Pro Tour events, with the exception of Valve-sponsored events for which separate documents will be made available.

Yes, there will be qualifiers, both open and closed (Miracle runs are encouraged!!). Direct invites to events and Closed Qualifiers will be dependent on EPT Points. If you’re keen on competing yourself, check out the respective event websites for the Open Qualifier information!
There will be a live audience for ESL One and Esports World Cup, but not for DreamLeague events.
The ESL Pro Tour combines multiple ESL tournaments from various game titles, including Counter-Strike, DOTA 2, and StarCraft® II into dedicated circuits that build toward grand championships each year. The overarching structure for both global and local competitions provides aspiring players from all levels a consistent and clear goal to reach for, a more compelling story to follow for existing Counter-Strike, DOTA 2, and StarCraft® II fans, and a more transparent structure for new esports fans.
No, there are also EPTs for Counter-Strike & StarCraft! However, each circuit operates independently.
