Will we hear the roar in LANXESS Arena? Welcome North to ESL One Cologne 2017!
The Danish squad of North is the eighth confirmed team for ESL One Cologne.

We are happy to welcome North to the team lineup of ESL One Cologne 2017! The Danes will join G2 Esports, NiP, Natus Vincere, Virtus.pro, SK Gaming, FaZe and FNATIC in the battle for the ESL One trophy and a share of the US$250,000 prize pool to be won in front of the legendary Cologne crowd.

North as an organisation came to life early this year, signing all of the players from Team Dignitas. Since then, the team has performed at four LAN tournaments, reaching playoffs in all of them.

At the ELEAGUE Major, the made it to the playoffs with a 3-2 record in the Swiss stage but got eliminated in the quarterfinals by later finalists, Virtus.pro. After the major came time for DreamHack Las Vegas where they finished second in their group and advanced to the quarterfinals where they met Gambit Esports and took a 2-0 win. Next, they faced SK Gaming in the semifinals where they lost to the Brazilians 0-2, ending the tournament in the top 4. The team once again reached the playoffs, this time at IEM World Championship Katowice but ended their run in the quarterfinals after a 1-2 loss to Immortals. North's most recent LAN performance was at StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 3. The team finished the Swiss stage with a 3-1 record and ended their tournament run in the quarterfinals where they lost 1-2 to HellRaisers.

We are curious to see what North will show us in Cologne. They have consistently been reaching the playoffs of tournaments they attend but will they be able to reach the very top and lift the ESL One trophy in the end?

See you in Cologne!
