The third Minor is now behind us and we welcome two more teams to the ESL One Cologne offline qualifier. This time, it was the European squads who began their journey to the next Valve major. A total of eight teams participated in the Minor with Team Dignitas and HellRaisers having secured the Major offline qualifier slots.
The Minor began with a group stage with both Dignitas and HellRaisers not losing a single game and finishing first in group A and B respectively. Dignitas breezed through the playoffs, only dropping one game to Team Orbit on the way to the final. HellRaisers had to go through the loser's bracket but, in the end, did meet Dignitas in the finals. The latter won the Minor but both teams qualified to the ESL One Cologne offline qualifier.
Team Dignitas - Team Orbit: 2-1
ENCE eSports - HellRaisers: 0-2
Team Orbit - HellRaisers: 1-2
Team Dignitas - HellRaisers: 2-1
Only one Minor remains to decide the final two teams which will join the battle for ESL One Cologne - the Americas Minor taking place from the 19th to 22nd of May. We cannot wait to see which American teams will complete the already stacked lineup:
