ESL joins hands with Twitch for ESL One Frankfurt

18.06.2014
We recently announced that we have signed a multi-year, extensive partnership with Twitch, with the first event benefiting from this renewed deal being ESL One Frankfurt.

Thanks to Twitch, ESL has been able to push the boundaries of eSports even further. Using the Twitch platform, we have been able to shatter all viewership and attendance records. Now we’re looking to do so again at ESL One Frankfurt.

“We are a pioneer within the industry, creating the most epic and magical moments possible,” said Ralf Reichert, CEO and Managing Director at ESL. “A big part of this is communicating and sharing an event’s atmosphere in high definition with the thousands of eSports fans at home unable to attend in person. This wouldn’t be possible without Twitch and the power of its platform.”

Professional players will be able to enjoy their downtime at ESL One Frankfurt in the Twitch lounge, where they will be able to relax and chat while enjoying the rest of the tournament. In addition to this, Twitch will also be hosting an after-party on Sunday night to finish off the tournament in style.
