The Legends have proven themself already due to their final placement within the Top8 teams at the last major CS:GO tournament, ESL One Katowice 2015. Therefore those teams got a direct invite to the upcoming next major tournament taking place at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany with a $250,000 prize pool.

All Challengers have to qualify and ESL will host open qualifiers in several regions to give all interested teams a chance to try their best to grab one of the open slots and challenge the Legends in Cologne.
