ESL One Frankfurt 2015 will feature 8 teams from different regions around the world. Teams will either be invited to the tournament or will be able to participate in one of the ESL One Frankfurt 2015 qualifiers.

Teams will qualify by the following methods and regions:

• 3 Invites
• 3 European Teams from the European qualifier
• 1 Chinese Team from the Chinese qualifier
• 1 Southeast Asian Team from the Southeast Asian qualifier

Three teams will be invited directly to ESL One Frankfurt 2015. These teams have proven their strength at previous Dota 2 events and ESL recognizes their skill. The three invited teams will be revealed in the coming weeks.

The other five teams will qualify through a regional qualifier. Each regional qualifier will be split up into an open qualifier and a follow up main qualifier.

The open qualifier of each regional qualifier will allow all teams from that region to participate. ESL prides itself on it's open components for any tournament in any game and will do so again at ESL One Frankfurt 2015.

The top teams from the open qualifier will be able to participate in the main qualifier for that region. This qualifier will consists of the top open bracket teams and seeded teams which have proven themselves in the past. We're sympathetic to the busy schedule of established teams and wish to make it easier for those teams to participate in the qualifier.

The top 3 teams from the European Qualifier, the top team from the Chinese qualifier and the top team from the Southeast Asian qualifier will secure their participation at ESL One Frankfurt 2015.
