Roof

During set up between two events last weekend, a crane damaged the roof membrane of the roof inside the Commerzbank-Arena, resulting in a 35 meter long tear. This means that unlike last year, this additional roof cannot be closed for the upcoming ESL One event.

We have taken steps to ensure that the event experience will not be affected by it. All seats are covered by the fixed main roof, and all tournament and production elements as well as the festival and partner expo area inside the stadium will also be protected from rain. Regularly, Commerzbank-Arena has its roof open for the entire Bundesliga season, so the venue is prepared for this kind of situation.
