As we are fast approaching the start of Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Melbourne, we have further updates regarding teams attending the event.
Team Spirit have withdrawn from IEM Melbourne on Friday 4th April and will no longer be competing in the tournament. In accordance with the latest available global ranking at the time of withdrawal, we have invited the next eligible teams to replace Team Spirit and a full list of teams approached can be found below.
- G2, FURIA and Astralis - declined based on their initial response
- Wildcard, B8, HEROIC - declined or not able to obtain visas in time
- Complexity - accepted and have visas in place
Complexity accepted our invitation and we’re excited to see them return down under after their Grand Final appearance at IEM Sydney 2023.
As of Friday 11th of April, we are able to confirm that 15 of 16 teams have visas to attend the event, with only 1 player outstanding. We expect to hear confirmation over the coming days and have all 16 teams listed below attend IEM Melbourne.
