As a part of our global footprint for the ESL Pro Tour, we’re looking forward to making another trip to South America in 2027 and more specifically to be back in Brazil.
In line with our previous announcement for IEM returning to the USA, the event will begin with a group stage featuring 16 teams. Two groups of each 8 teams, playing double elimination, each group sending 4 teams to the playoffs. The playoffs will feature 8 teams and an arena audience. Friday playoffs features 4 Quarter-Finals, Saturday 2 Semi-Finals and Sunday Third place decider and Grand Final.
The event will be a part of the more than $11,450,000 allocated for teams and players in the 2027 edition of ESL Pro Tour. As a reminder, our Annual Club Incentive in 2027 will include the playoffs viewership into the equation, meaning that the combined average concurrent viewership for the entire tournament will be what determines the points distribution.

Order of invites will be Regional VRS invites first, followed by Global VRS Invites. The event qualifiers will be running the Americas Qualifier on South American servers, but will still use the Americas VRS list for invites.
The Global Qualifier will be running on European servers, but will be using the Global VRS list for invites.

Tournament environment: All stages of the tournament will be played in-person on LAN.
VRS publication for invites: Invites will follow the first available monthly VRS publication of February 2027.
VRS publication for seeding: Seeding will follow the first available monthly VRS publication of April 2027.
Invite Exceptions: Exceptions to invitations will apply if a player or team is banned by ESL, FACEIT or ESIC.
