The ESL Pro League welcomes another team to the Season 5 Finals in Dallas, Texas starting May 30th. SK Gaming are officially confirmed for the LAN event as the first team of the NA division. Yesterday, Renegades lost both maps against Misfits, securing the Brazilians their top six placement. Even though theoretically seven teams can still reach the 17 wins of SK Gaming, it is mathematically impossible for SK not to make it to the finals, as two of these seven teams – OpTic Gaming and CLG – still need to play each other and at least one of them can only achieve a maximum of 16 wins.
After not participating in Season 1 and making it to the finals but not out of group stage in Season 2, Fallen’s Five won Pro League in Season 3 under the roster of Luminosity Gaming. The team, now playing as SK Gaming, even made it to the finals of Season 4 in front of their home crowd in Sao Paulo, Brazil only to fall short to Cloud9. The team is seeking to repeat their success in Season 3 before they head to ESL One Cologne just one month after the Season 5 Finals.
