Dates and Location:

IEM SC2 Katowice 2024 will take place from February 8th to 11th, 2024, at the International Congress Center (MCK) in Katowice, Poland. The event returns once again to the well-known Auditorium located right next to the Spodek Arena & the IEM Expo area. Each day of the competition will start at 12:00 CET.

Prize Pool and Format:

With a staggering $500,000 prize pool on the line, including $150,000 for the first-place winner, the competition promises to be intense. The top four players will also secure a spot in the Esports World Cup, this year’s ESL Pro Tour Championship event, taking place this summer in Riyadh.

Participants and Groups:

Prepare to witness epic clashes between grizzled veterans of StarCraft II, including the defending champion, Oliveira, and the current leaders of the EPT rankings, such as Serral, Clem, Reynor, Astrea, Dark, Maru, or Solar. All participants are divided into four groups of six, three players from each group will advance to the playoffs, with 1st place finishers being seeded directly into the quarterfinals. The group stage features a Round Robin format, while the playoffs feature a single elimination bracket.

Admittance and Signing Sessions:

Gates to the IEM Expo open at 11:00 CET on Thursday and at 10:00 on Friday to Sunday, allowing fans to soak in the atmosphere and excitement before the battles begin. Be sure to check the schedule for signing sessions at the Intel booth for a chance to meet your favorite players and casters in person. Moreover, the IEM Expo is free to all attendees.
