PRIVACY POLICY AND TERMS OF SERVICE

1. About This Extension and Who We Are
The EFG DOTA Tournament Companion (the "Extension") is a Twitch extension developed and operated by ESL FACEIT Group Limited ("EFG", "we", "us", or "our"), a company incorporated in England and Wales (Company No. 07751649) with its registered office address at 25th Floor – 21 – 24 Millbank Tower, Millbank, SW1P 4QP, England.
The Extension provides viewers watching EFG's DOTA 2 esports tournaments on Twitch with a real-time informational overlay. This overlay displays publicly available game data sourced from the Valve API and the game's Game State Integration (GSI) functionality, including hero information, abilities, items, shop data, and live match statistics. The Extension is designed to enhance the viewing experience; it does not interact with or modify the game itself.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Extension. By activating or using the Extension, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Extension.
2. Eligibility and Permitted Users
The Extension is available to any viewer watching EFG's DOTA 2 tournament streams on the Twitch platform. By using the Extension, you confirm that:
(a) you meet Twitch's minimum age requirements and comply with Twitch's Terms of Service applicable to your use of the Twitch platform; and
(b) you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction.
Your use of the Twitch platform itself is governed solely by Twitch's own Terms of Service and is not subject to these Terms.
3. Description of the Extension and its Features
The Extension currently provides the following features to viewers:
(a) Full item shop view – displaying available items including basic items, upgrades, and neutrals, together with detailed item information;
(b) Live match scoreboard – showing current heroes in play, their purchased items, levels, and other in-game statistics;
(c) Hoverable ability bar – providing details on the observed hero's talent tree, available abilities, and purchased items;
(d) Hoverable hero bar – providing details on any hero hovered within the top hero navigation bar; and
(e) Game stats dropdown – enabling viewers to select and view multiple statistics from the current match.
All data displayed by the Extension is sourced from publicly available Valve APIs and from live game data exposed via DOTA 2's Game State Integration functionality. This data is displayed in read-only format and does not influence the game in any way.
We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. Future features may include pro player identification overlays or milestone indicators. Any material changes will be reflected in an updated version of these Terms.
4. Intellectual Property
The Extension, including its design, interface, code, and all content produced by EFG, is owned by or licensed to ESL FACEIT Group Limited and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Extension solely for personal, non-commercial viewing purposes while accessing EFG's Twitch content.
You may not: (a) copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Extension; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension; (c) use the Extension for any commercial purpose, data harvesting, or automated access; or (d) sublicense or transfer your rights under this licence to any third party.
DOTA 2 game data, hero names, item names, ability names, images, and related content are the intellectual property of Valve Corporation. EFG operates under applicable usage rights and developer licences in respect of Valve's public APIs. EFG does not claim any ownership over Valve's intellectual property. All rights in Valve's content are reserved to Valve Corporation.
5. Data and Privacy
The Extension does not collect, store, or process any personal data as defined by applicable data protection laws about viewers. Consequently, no viewer data is transmitted to EFG servers as a result of using the Extension.
The Extension processes publicly available game data (sourced from Valve's public APIs and DOTA 2 GSI functionality) solely to generate the real-time overlay displayed to you. This processing occurs locally within your browser or Twitch client and does not result in the storage of any viewer-specific information.

Your use of the Twitch platform is subject to Twitch's own Privacy Policy. EFG has no control over and accepts no responsibility for Twitch's data practices.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, EFG expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:
(a) any warranty that the Extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time;
(b) any warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the game data displayed — real-time data may be subject to latency, delays, or inaccuracies inherent in the data source; and
(c) any warranty that the Extension will be compatible with all devices, browsers, or Twitch client versions.
Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights you may have as a consumer under applicable law that cannot be excluded or limited.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, EFG, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Extension, including but not limited to any loss of data, loss of revenue, or any other loss or damage, even if EFG has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
EFG is not liable for any decisions made by you, or any third party, based on information displayed by the Extension. Game data shown in the Extension is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only.
Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude EFG's liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by EFG's negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
8. Third-Party Platform - Twitch
The Extension operates exclusively within the Twitch platform. Your access to and use of Twitch is governed by Twitch's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, which are separate from and independent of these Terms.
EFG has no control over the Twitch platform and is not responsible for any changes Twitch makes to its platform, APIs, or extension functionality that may affect the Extension's availability or performance. EFG is not responsible for any loss or damage arising from Twitch's actions or omissions.
The Extension is submitted to and must be approved by Twitch. Twitch may remove or restrict the Extension at any time in accordance with its own policies.
9. Changes to the Extension and These Terms
EFG reserves the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue the Extension (or any feature thereof) at any time, with or without notice, and without liability to you.
We may also update these Terms from time to time. Where we make material changes, we will endeavour to provide reasonable notice by updating the effective date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the Extension following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
We recommend you review these Terms periodically.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms, save that EFG reserves the right to bring proceedings against you in any jurisdiction where you are resident or where you have assets.
11. General
Entire Agreement. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and EFG in relation to the Extension and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Waiver. EFG's failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of its right to enforce that provision in the future.
No Third-Party Rights. These Terms do not confer any rights on any third party.
