ESL Challenger League Season 50 - Cup #1: Team Invites

Here are your 104 teams that will be playing in the ESL Challenger League Season 50 - Cup #1 tournament.

69 teams (Europe - 24 teams, North America - 17 teams, South America - 16 teams, Asia - 8 teams, and Oceania - 4 teams) have been invited based on the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) invitation data as of July 7, 2025. The remaining 35 teams have been invited based on their finishing spots in ESEA League Season 52, and Season 53.

Teams will compete in a double-elimination brackets in their respective region, and the winner of each region will get invited to the ESL Challenger League Season 50 Regional Finals.

Each team has received their invite based on their rosters stated in the VRS.

Note: the final roster submission deadline for all teams is July 28, 2025.

For a team to be eligible to accept their invitation they must retain a majority roster. In this case there are some notable points to consider when looking at the invited teams:

Team Vitality (VRS 1), MOUZ (VRS 2), Team Spirit (VRS 3), The MongolZ (VRS 4), Team Falcons (VRS 5), Aurora Gaming (VRS 6), FaZe Clan (VRS 7), Natus Vincere (VRS 8), FURIA Esports (VRS 9), G2 Esports (VRS 10), GamerLegion (VRS 11), and HEROIC (VRS 12) can’t be invited based on the Valve’s Tournament Operating Requirements that states: “3.8.4 The VRS rank of the invited Rosters must be lower than 12 on the Global VRS at the time of the Invite Date"
Europe: 3DMAX (VRS 13), Virtus.pro (VRS 14), Astralis (VRS 15), Team Liquid (VRS 17), B8 (VRS 19), Ninjas in Pyjamas (VRS 23), Fnatic (VRS 25), ECSTATIC (VRS 26), Natus Vincere Junior (VRS 27), and TEAM NEXT LEVEL (VRS 29) have all declined their invites.
North America: Complexity (VRS 24), Wildcard Gaming (VRS 42), Nouns Esports (VRS 121), chicken coop (VRS 139), ex-Party Astronauts (VRS 145), ex-LAG Gaming (VRS 150), girl kissers (VRS 189), Black Mold (VRS 193), and MEGA JUNERS (VRS 206) have all declined their invites.
South America: paiN Gaming (VRS 16), Legacy (VRS 21), MIBR (VRS 22), FURIA Esports Impact (VRS 55), ex-RED Canids (VRS 125), MIBR fe (VRS 140), adalYamigos (VRS 153),UNO MILLE (VRS 157), and O PLANO (VRS 162) have all declined their invites.
Asia: Akimbo (VRS 131), Gods Reign (VRS 137), Shika (VRS 156), and ex-Victores Sumus (VRS 164) have all declined their invites.
Oceania: FlyQuest (VRS 30), and Only One Word (VRS 138) have declined their invites.
