The 2026/2027 Season
The International 2026 has concluded after an incredible finals in Shanghai, and with roster moves behind the scenes now in full swing, we're looking ahead to a very exciting year of professional Dota.
To ensure that teams, interested fans, redditors and liquipedia editors have everything they need to understand what ESL Dota will look like in the months to come, we're publishing all the data on our events for the ESL Pro Tour 2026/2027 Season — you can find it below.

Our priority
Sustainability is the headline for us heading into this next season.
In a changing landscape, how can we ensure pros still benefit from success at our events? For the first EPT Seasons we introduced the EPT Points system, where high placements in events grant invites to future events, and the chance to qualify for EWC to win the much larger sums available.
For this upcoming season, Season 30 will serve as the entry point for the season but Season 31 will serve as the true cutoff for most teams - as EPT invites for both Season 32 and ESL One will be decided after Season 31. It will be the last chance and the strongest chance for teams to gather points and place highly in the largest LAN of the season.
Now, we're rebalancing our circuit to place greater significance to ESL One Europe, our midseason event and LAN, because we know Dota matters most when the stakes are high and the crowd gets louder with every great play (or tragic mistake).
Division 2 Returns
We're very proud of the introduction of DreamLeague Division 2 in the last season, and excited to continue these events in the 26/27 season. Young stars will always rise, and we believe that opportunities like the ones these tournaments provide are necessary to help them on that journey.
We remember when Collapse was playing in the EEU Division of Epulze Global League, on team Cascade — even then, taking steps forward to a legacy he can now already look back on with pride.
That's what we believe Division 2 will be for future TI and EWC Champions.

Swiss Format
Swiss Earnings
Each series win in the Swiss Stage of the event will be worth $10,000 and 100 EPT points, and any team that doesn't qualify to the playoffs will receive only the money from each of these Swiss Stage series wins.
For the top 8 playoffs teams, they will also earn a fixed amount based on placement as shown above, as well as the earnings from their Swiss stage performance.
The prize money for the Swiss Stage of the event is $180,000.
