Recently, we have announced the addition of Renegades to the North American division of the ESL Pro League via the wildcard system. Today, we are happy to reveal that the European wildcard team will be no other than FaZe Clan.
FaZe Clan has acquired the players of G2 Esports: Maikelele, rain, jkaem, aizy and fox on January 20th. The lineup's most recent performance included StarLadder XIV Finals where they placed 5th-6th after losing to Fnatic 0-2 in the round of six. Nevertheless, the players of FaZe Clan have proven in the past tournaments that they are able to compete with the top CS:GO teams.
Zebastian "zbM" Molinder, manager of FaZe Clan, said the following about joining the ESL Pro League:

The team is very happy and looking forward what 2016 can bring, and ESL Pro League is one of the biggest things this year in CS:GO. FaZe Clan will face Europe's very best teams, including two-time Pro League champions, Fnatic. The competition will be stiff and we will see tons of thrilling matchups, all of which will be played on the ESEA platform and protected by the ESEA Anti-cheat system.
Season 3 of the ESL Pro League kicks of on the 9th of February and will continue for nine weeks till the end of April. The matches will be broadcasted live over at our Twitch channel.
