Season 4 of the North American Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Pro League is well underway as more matches are played and teams begin to separate themselves in the standings. Cloud9 is sitting in first with an amazing 10-0 win-streak, but North American frontrunners SK Gaming have yet to play any games. Here’s everything that happened in Week 2 and next week’s schedule.
TUESDAY
Week 2 started off strong for Splyce as they secured the first win of the day 16-14 against Complexity Gaming.
Complexity earned some league points of their own, returning the favor and defeating Splyce 16-11 in Game 2.
Immortals then took down eUnited 16-10, who then answered back in a crazy upset with a 16-10 win of their own.
WEDNESDAY
After taking a game off of Immortals on Tuesday, eUnited couldn’t maintain their momentum and fell to OpTic Gaming twice the following day. But their one Week 2 win gave them three league points and moved them up to 11th place in the standings.
Immortals on the other hand did not take their loss lightly and went on to regroup and dominate Splyce first 16-7 and then 16-4.
Selfless Gaming earned their first win of the season, defeating Winterfox 16-13, but Winterfox turned things around in Game 2 to win 19-16 in overtime.
Cloud9 continued their Season 4 winning streak, taking down Complexity 16-9 and 16-5.
THURSDAY
Immortals continued to climb the standings with two wins and six more league points after their matches against NRG Esports.
Cloud9 did one better than Immortals, closing out Week 2 with zero losses in first place after defeating Counter Logic Gaming twice on Day 3.
Team Liquid took down Winterfox first 16-14 and then 16-11, putting them in fifth place, just under OpTic Gaming who gained and gave three points after a win and a loss against Renegades.
