The ESL ESEA Pro League Season 2 finals are kicking off this Thursday at 10:00 PST in the ESL studios in Burbank, California, where four top teams from Europe and four top teams from North America will battle it out for a share of the US$500,000 prize pool.
CS:GO has just received a new patch which brought several significant changes to the game. In this instance, it has been decided that the ESL ESEA Pro League Season 2 finals will be played out on the patch preceding this one.
James Lampkin, VP of Pro Gaming at ESL, said the following of the decision:
"After consulting with players, we've decided to play the ESL ESEA Pro League Season 2 finals on the patch before 1.35.1.2. With the number of gameplay and weapon changes, we all felt that this is really important to maintain the competitive spirit of the event given the amount of money and prestige on the line."
We are looking forward to seeing tons of thrilling matches filled with world-class CS:GO action! Check out the schedule and list of available Twitch streams to make sure you don't miss anything, and be sure to follow ESL CS on Twitter and Facebook for all important updates.
