With barely two weeks to go until the finals of ESL Pro League are going down in Leicester and London, we would like to present the groups as well as the format and schedule of the four day event. Who will be able to make it out of the groups and play on the big stage in London? Take a look at the groups with us and find out which teams are going to clash on the first days.
The format
Once more the top four from both regions of ESL Pro League will be mixed for the double elimination group stage. Only the top two from each group will advance after the group stage in the ESL Studio in Leicester to play in the indigo at The O2, London.
- Group A: Luminosity Gaming, Astralis, OpTic Gaming, G2 Esports
- Group B: Ninjas in Pyjamas, Cloud9, Fnatic, Team Liquid
While the opening matches, as well as the winner’s match, are being played in best-of-one, the elimination and decider match will each be a best-of-three series, to determine who will drop out and advance to the next stage. The playoffs will be held in single elimination, having best-of-three semi finals, followed by a best-of-five series in the grand final.

Over a total of four days, one team will rise above the rest to claim the ESL Pro League title.

- ~17:40 BST: Group A - Winner’s Match
- ~18:50 BST: Group B - Winner’s Match
- ~ 20:00 BST: Group A - Elimination Match
Thursday, 12th of May
