Background
OpTic Gaming seeks to compete as part of the North American Pro League for season 6.
The roster submitted to the league administration by the organization includes several players who reside in Europe. The rules of the league state that a team's "Home Country / Region" is defined by the main place of residence of the majority of the roster.
Furthermore, a team can only participate in competitions within its home region.
According to paragraph 2.1 of the rules, and absent any documentation of long-term permissions to stay in North America, the home region of OpTic Gaming would be defined as Europe for season 6.
Ruling
OpTic Gaming are expected to compete out of North America and to provide documentation of its ability to do so.
To retain its license in the North American Pro League OpTic Gaming have to provide a plan to the league administration by the end of business on August 31 (PDT) outlining how they guarantee that the majority of their Pro League matches will be played from North America.
The league administration hereby requires OpTic Gaming to play 75 percent of its matches from the North American region, a minimum of 10 games.
A failure to provide a plan acceptable to the league administration by August 31st, or failure to compete out of North America will lead to OpTic Gaming losing their license to compete in the North American division of Pro League. Should said circumstances arise the team will be disqualified from the season and their results nullified. Any winnings accumulated will be lost and distributed proportionally among the other participating teams.
