Three slots remain available to the main event of IEM Summer 2021. Below is a breakdown of information regarding the qualification process.
12 total slots; 8 teams will receive an invite to the Closed Qualifier, the other 4 will come from Open Qualifiers (the top 2 from each open qualifier will progress to Closed).
Open Qualifier #1: 8-9 April
Open Qualifier #2: 19-20 April
Unlimited Single Elimination best-of-one bracket with decider matches being played in best-of-three-mode
4 teams advance to the closed qualifier (2 from each open qualifier)
Check in time: 17:00 - 17:45 CEST
Start time both days: 18:00 CEST
Closed Qualifier: 26-28 April
All matches are played in best-of-three mode.
12 teams: 8 invited & 4 qualifying from open qualifier.
First round is played in Single Elimination mode between 4 invited and 4 from open qualifer (winner goes through, loser drops out).
The remaining 4 are meeting the other 4 invited teams in round 2.
All rounds from here are played in an 8-team Double Elimination best-of-three bracket.
