Open Qualification for DreamHack SC2 Masters Atlanta 2022

As the year of competition continues, the ESL Pro Tour is now headed to its second season of the year, concluding at the DreamHack Festival in Atlanta, this November 18-20!

Here you can find the detailed schedule for the upcoming qualifiers and regional tournaments and all the necessary information in order to be able to participate in the DreamHack SC2 Masters. If you are interested in becoming a broadcaster you can find the link to apply as an official broadcaster for DreamHack SC2 Masters at the very bottom.

Registering for the live event DH SC2 Masters: Atlanta

Participation in the DreamHack Festival in Atlanta can be achieved through two routes: Qualify through the regional competitions and secure yourself a paid trip and seeding into the deep stages of the competition; or you can register to the 63 slots available in the early stages of the competition. To keep the competitive standard that we set for the ESL Pro Tour, 15 days after the sign-ups we will accept players in order of their 2022/23 EPT results. The remaining slots will be filled in the order of application. Registration will remain open after that to either fill remaining open slots or have replacements available in case of drop-outs.

The sign-ups for the Festival begins on September 7th, at 4pm CEST.

It is important to note that both qualification routes can be chosen by those interested in taking part in the Festival. The details for the regional competitions, including schedule, invites, and qualification slots can be found below. For obvious reasons, any player that wins online qualification who had already registered to compete in the early stages of the live event would be removed from registration while communication advances to arrange all travel and accommodation.

Lastly, you do not require to purchase a DH Festival ticket in order to register for the competition.

Participation in any Sub-Region (e.g. in DreamHack SC2 Masters) is allowed for citizens of countries belonging to that Sub-Region and to players who have permanent residency in such country (i.e. being legally qualified for permanent residency in such country and having lived in such country for at least one year at the time of the first match of the competition). If a player not fulfilling these requirements can clearly prove their permanent residency in an eligible country otherwise, ESL may grant an exception. This will usually only happen in cases where the player has no other chance to take part in competitions leading into the Masters Championship.

If there can be any uncertainty about which main or sub-region a player belongs to or wants to play in, it is the responsibility of the player to come forward and explain himself as early as possible. If the player has the choice between two or more main and/or sub-regions, he can only make that choice once per competition and not change it until the next one. Especially it is not allowed to take part in two sub-regions in the same season, including their qualifiers.
