Format

ESL IMPACT league season 4:

Open Qualifiers Format

  • Regions: Europe (EU), North America (NA), South America (SA)
  • Two Open Qualifiers for 4 slots per region
  • Unlimited Single Elimination best-of-three bracket
  • Each Qualifier determines two teams

Main Tournament Format - NA & SA

  • Regions: North America (NA), South America (SA)
  • Each Region has 1 group of 8 teams
  • Single Round Robin
  • All Matches Best-of-three
  • The Winner and Runner-Up of the Group will advance to the Global Finals

Main Tournament Format - EU

  • Regions: Europe (EU)
  • The EU region has 2 groups of 6 teams.
  • Single Round Robin
  • All Matches Best-of-three
  • First placed team from each group advances to the Season Finals
  • The second placed team from each group play a decider match (best-of-three)
  • The decider match winner advances to the Season Finals

Season Finals Wildcard Qualifier - Asia

  • Regions: Asia (AP)
  • One qualifier for 1 slot
  • Unlimited Single Elimination best-of-one bracket
  • Winner advances to the Season Finals

Season Finals Group Stage Format:

  • Eight Teams (Top 3 of EU, Top 2 of NA/SA, 1 from the WildCard Qualifier)
  • 2 Groups of 4 teams
  • Double Elimination
  • All Upper Bracket Matches Best-of-one & all Lower Bracket Matches Best-of-three
  • Top 2 per Group advance to the Playoffs
