For the upcoming Pro League finals in Odense several teams have petitioned ESL to use players who are new to their rosters. Pro League adheres to rules put in place by the World Esports Association, WESA, and is operated by ESL.
The facts of each case have been reviewed and the following rulings made.
1) SK Gaming
Ricardo "boltz" Prass is eligible to play for SK Gaming in Odense.
"boltz" competed for Immortals in the regular season of ESL Pro League. However, he was transferred to SK prior to November 1. The Pro League trade deadline was November 10. Thus, the player can now participate for SK at the event in Odense.
2) Team Liquid
Lucas "steel" Lopes is not eligible to play for Team Liquid in Odense.
"steel" competed for Immortals in the regular season of ESL Pro League. His last match for the team was November 12th, after which his contract was transferred to Liquid. However, the Pro League trade deadline was November 10th. This renders Lopes ineligible for the finals.
3) Astralis
Dennis "dennis" Edman is not eligible to play for Astralis in Odense.
Ruben “RUBINO” Villarroel is eligible to play for Astralis in Odense.
Astralis has petitioned the league to have an emergency transfer because of a serious and unforeseen medical condition to one of their players. This request has been granted by WESA.
Dennis "dennis" Edman competed for GODSENT in the regular season of Pro League. His last match for the team was November 12th. We agreed to grant Astralis an emergency transfer that otherwise would be prohibited due to the Trade Deadline due to unforeseen circumstances, but they had to add a player who did not participate in the last matchday of Pro League and they decided to use “RUBINO”.
