Immortals participated in Pro League Season 6 as part of the North American division. During the season the team experienced problems with their roster. Immortals petitioned WESA for an emergency transfer. The transfer was granted to them and the team finished 12th in the regular season.
Sustained roster instability has also rendered Immortals unable to compete going forward. This has led the organization to pull out of Pro League.
Immortals CEO Noah Whinston provided the following statement:
"Immortals has informed WESA and ESL that the organization will have to leave Pro League after experiencing roster instability due to factors outside of the organization's control. Immortals wants to thank the fans for their loyalty as well as WESA and ESL for their ongoing support during this period. It is our hope and expectation that we will return stronger than ever."
Immortals will now be removed from the standings of Season 6.
This creates consequences for the upcoming relegation tournament as one spot is left open. ESL has offered the spot to Ghost Gaming, the team that finished last in the regular season and which was auto-relegated. Ghost Gaming's participation in the relegation tournament is pending a confirmation by the team and a review of their eligibility.
